TRACES Center for History and Culture will be bringing a series of presentations about social upheaval in the early 20th Century to Lee County during the entire week of Oct. 8-11.  The program is entitled:  The Kaiser; The Klan and the Cow War: The Lasting Legacy of Social Reactions in America's Heartland, 1914-34.  Our program will center on the anti-German sentiment that developed during World War 1, that was also part of Donnellson's local history.  During this time, many German-Americans were assaulted, attacked, and even lynched, in a case from Illinois.  Learn about this fascinating part of Iowa History on Wednesday, October 10, at 3:30 p.m. in the library's activity room.
