This organization exists by virtue of the provisions of Donnellson City Ordinance.  The Library Board of Trustees exercises powers and authority and assumes responsibility delegated to it under said statute. 

Board members are appointed for terms of six years, and may be reappointed, if nominated by the other members, with the approval of the City Counsel. 

Officers serve a term of one year or until their successors are duly elected.
